JOB DESCRIPTION

Contract: Mechanical engineer for Catalytic Cracking projects. Home Location is in the Technip Energies Houston operating center. Assignment is in Silsbee, Texas. Schedule is through year end and lodging and per diem are allotted.

The initial project assignment in Silsbee, TX is for a solid catalytic conversion of waste plastic to BTX and other feedstocks. The project is currently in commercialization phase and engineers hired for this role will be acting as operations staff for the pilot plant TCat-8 unit.

The engineering team will operate the unit on a 4-shift rotation basis to ensure operations. Overtime (1.5) is paid over 40 hours.

Job Duties:

• Integrate with team developing Catalytic Cracking process.

• Work in all tasks required on job site to assure continued operation of facility

• Collect, develop, and systematize knowledge from onsite operations and create internal documentation as required to institutionalize knowledge at T.EN.

• Assist in the preparation of material requisitions for equipment.

• Develop equipment specifications and/or review specifications.

• Produce mechanical datasheets for equipment.

• Review and manage submitted vendor drawings and other documentation.

• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure all requirements are incorporated into the requisition package.

• Provide engineering support by answering technical questions and requests.

• Identify scope changes or deviations and notify project team.

• Ensure conformance to applicable government regulations, engineering codes and standards as well as company QA system, policies, and procedures.

• Diagnosis and Resolution of Mechanical Problems, including capability to do detailed mechanical engineering and detailed drawings with ability to do simple piping.

• Ability and motivation to work hands on with operation partners in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and modifications. Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:

• BSME or equivalent from an accredited university.

• At least a minimum of 3 - 5 years experience handling packaged equipment such as wastewater treatment systems, chemical injection packages, air drying systems, vendor process and/or utility packages, and the like. Direct mechanical design experience also suitable.

• Experience reviewing specifications, performing equipment selections, producing requisitions, performing technical bid evaluations, and reviewing vendor documents for packaged equipment.

• Knowledge of ASME Code and applicable API standards as they pertain to industrial equipment.

• Software knowledge should include Microsoft Office applications and drafting or 3D Solid Modeling.

• Professional licensure in the U.S. is strongly preferred.

• Possess a TWIC card and pass pre-employment mobilization requirements then attend a site-specific safety training
