Job Requirements
· Study corrosion issues across the facilities and provide expert advice and recommendations to address the different corrosion threats. Ensure that any actions arising from the corrosion monitoring process are fed into the relevant inspection databases and work processes;
· Establish Corrosion Management Program in compliance to the BSR's
Asset Integrity Management System, international standard and best practices;
· Develop and update Corrosion Control Document;
· Responsible for corrosion monitoring activities and analysis of the results. Liaise with BSR staff and contractor personnel to ensure corrosion/erosion monitoring systems are relevant for continued integrity performance;
· Define corrosion loops and identify associated damage mechanisms;
· Lead and conduct the root cause analysis of failures related to corrosion;
· Verify the material selection for Refinery and MOC;
· Advise on Corrosion and Materials Engineering related issues;
· Advise on use of corrosion inhibitors and monitor its effectiveness;
· Monitor the effectiveness of cathodic protection system;
Coaching BSR technical personnel on corrosion prevention, corrosion monitor & control and corrosion failure analysis.

Job Descriptions, Major Duties & Responsibilities: |
This position is mainly responsible, but not limited to the following: ● Study corrosion issues across the facilities and provide expert advice and recommendations to address the different corrosion threats. Educational Background: |
● Bachelor or Master Degree in the field of Corrosion/ Metallurgical/ Chemical/ Mechanical Engineering. |
Experience Requirement: |
● More than 20 years of experience in Corrosion Management in petroleum refinery, or petrochemical plant with at least 5 years in the Managerial Role; ● Knowledgeable and experience in pressure equipment/piping integrity, International applicable codes and standards related to corrosion; ● Familiar with corrosion failure analysis techniques; ● Familiar with NDT respect to corrosion damage assessment. |
Special Training & Qualification: |
● NACE certificate of Corrosion Specialist is mandatory; ● Certification in NACE CIP and CP, API 571, 510, 570, 653 is desirable. |
