As a Transport Planner, the role will require contribution towards variety of transport planning and transport modelling studies for various large-scale projects. Competent in traffic analysis, traffic operation and good working knowledge in transport modelling. The person will be responsible for quality project delivery. Good understanding of transport planning GID/GDC business area and should be a team player. Exhibits clear progression towards a technical career path. Ensure clean delivery with close coordination with lead office project manager, delivery team and project reviewer..
- Clear knowledge of work procedures and ability to brief project team on them.
- Performs a range of mainly straightforward assignments with moderate level of guidance and direction.
- Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures.
- Delivering project to desired quality standards and according to mutually agreed timelines with the client.
- Able to author competent technical reports of acceptable technical and presentation.
- Able to do client communications remotely with the team working at other offices.
- Manage time for self and assigned project delivery team.
- Dedicated and hardworking with aspirations to develop their modeling career in Jacobs.
Master’s degree in Transportation Planning/Engineering with 1-2 years of GDC/GID experience
In-depth knowledge and experience in traffic analysis and transport modelling.
Basic to intermediate level of experience on using transportation modelling software such as VISUM/VISSIM/SATURN/CUBE/ AIMSUN
Project experience in the global integrated delivery and familiarity with transport planning practices and standards is preferred.
Ability to work both as part of a sophisticated multi-disciplinary team as well as possessing the ability to work independently to solve problems.
Capable of working under challenging workload subject to short notice.
Clear communication in English, both written and spoken.
