Role Context

This is a dynamic role that will require not only a firm understanding of Project Controls Management, but also a willingness to work differently.  As we scale our business the project controls function will be looking to support the delivery of projects using innovative business models and utilising existing, and developing new, digital solutions and design automation. 

As Project Controls Manager, you will be directly involved in the management of all aspects of Planning, Cost Management and Document Control for existing and new projects, including techniques, systems and processes in order to provide Worley with an efficient and professional project controls capability.

The role demands the leadership ability to cascade vision, objectives and goals with the function including providing support, mentoring and development of the team.

You'll be:

• Implementing suitable systems, processes, tools and project control procedures
• Supporting the development of the project cost control set up and management, cost reporting process and implementation, ensuring compliance with all contractual and corporate requirements
• Managing client and internal project reports in accordance with the project procedure project control functional practices, including progress reporting, schedule updates, forecast to complete, variance identification and opportunities for improvement
• Supporting the  development and review of the hours integrated time schedule
• Organising and directing the activities of the project control team whilst continually reviewing, auditing and improving project controls activities
• Liaising with other functional departments relative to the project operations to ensure that information affecting the project plan is continually updated

You'll have:

• A strong demonstrable track record in full project life cycle (FEL, EPC &EPCM) 
• Experience deploying complex project control systems within major projects
• Understanding of the appropriate level of reporting and monitoring detail required in the major project environment
• Ability to guide and influence the customer
• Understanding of and ability to apply AWP principles
• A tertiary education with a relevant certification preferred
