The Product Manager is expected to lead critical projects such as: identifying new business opportunities, new product development, managing new product launches, product lifecycle management, and product line forecasting. This role is located in our World HQ in Elyria (just a little west of Cleveland), Ohio USA.
The Product Manager will work in a dynamic global team environment, alongside Engineering, Sales, IT, Finance and Supply Chain. They will have a deep understanding of what it means to align customer needs within the diagnostics portfolio. They will have a passion for emerging technologies. A strong bias for action and collaboration will ensure that programs are delivered on time and results are strong.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
RIDGID® has a Global Product Manager position open in the Underground Technologies group overseeing the RIDGID Drain Inspection and Plumbing & Utility Locating portfolios. Primary responsibilities include:
- Category management of portfolio including sales forecasting and pricing to maximize sales, profitability and ROI;
- Build and apply product and customer knowledge to identify new product opportunities and specifications;
- Work closely with cross-functional, collaborative new product development teams comprised of external and internal partners;
- Build and apply expertise and customer knowledge to identify marketing and promotional opportunities;
- Partner with cross-functional, collaborative marketing and operations teams comprised of external and internal partners;
- Monitor and develop deep understanding of competition;
- Support execution of long-term category vision;
You identify and seize new opportunities. You build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations. You create teamwork allowing others across the organization to achieve shared objectives. You encourage diverse thinking to promote and nurture innovation. You acquire data from multiple and diverse sources when solving problems. You adjust communication to fit the audience and the message.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Additionally, ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- Academic focus in marketing or similar subject matter;
- 2-3 years in product management or equivalent business experience;
- Strong analytical, quantitative skills and financial acumen;
