Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Systems and Services group is currently seeking a full time CAD Drafter / Designer to join our team. This position is based at our Warrendale, PA office. Eaton’s Engineering Service & Systems division wants to help you fuel your career! Eaton has the largest and most experienced team of field services technicians and engineers in the industry. We assist customers at every stage in the power system: offering start-up and commissioning of equipment, performing planned maintenance, monitoring performance, diagnosing system problems remotely, as well as responding to emergencies on a 24/7 basis, 365 days a year. Our support services help businesses make the most of their existing electrical equipment by optimizing performance and extending the life of existing facilities. In this role you will prepare all necessary electrical drawings and Front-end Design to support Eaton’s Switchgear Modernization organization. In this function you will: Prepare complex layouts, circuit diagrams, sketches and drawings relating to new and modified equipment specifications, as well as from customer engineering interpretation to the general order (CAD). Analyze and interpret customer inquiries relating to assemblies, during the engineering and manufacturing phases. Develop special layout and sketches for engineering tests to determine the acceptance applications, operating characteristics, or performance of components of assemblies. Prepare necessary information to ensure efficient and timely material procurement, manufacturing testing, and installation of assemblies. Compile data required for project assignments and develop specifications, reports, and other related written documents as required. Maintain contact with manufacturing personnel to review and discuss diagrams, modifications, adjustments, and progress of work relating to the design and manufacture of equipment. Contact engineer to verify circuit operation or to suggest methods to correct errors. Assist and train new employees in all aspects of electrical drafting and testing; recommend technical methods or approaches for them in order to increase their overall quality, timeliness, and productivity. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Warrendale, PA will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
