About the Department

SSE Contracting is one of the UK’s largest Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractors. Our portfolio of services ranges from M&E building services, Instrumentation, Rail, Street Lighting, Facilities management to HV & LV & Combined Heat and Power solutions.

What is the Role?

As E&I Planner you will develop pre-construction, construction and commissioning programmes, ensuring all key milestone dates are included. You will work closely with the project, commercial and finance managers and members of the wider team to ensure project schedules are accurately developed. You'll perform analysis and scenario modelling for any potential project change and will produce progress and earned value reports. Additionally, you will manage and report on critical path analysis and will have some involvement in resource planning. Supporting Project managers and project engineers to review proposed plans and monitor progress is also key to this role.

What do I need?

In order to be considered you will ideally have the following knowledge and skills:

- Several years' experience as an Electrical & Controls planner

- Relevant industry sector experience

- Computer literacy in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

- Knowledge and Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications such as Primavera (P6) and/or other planning and resourcing software.

- Demonstrable Project management techniques.

- Detailed knowledge of Planning Processes
