The Emerging Capabilities Development organization of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated, and creative Engineering Manager for our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) located outside of Baltimore, Maryland. Here at ATL, we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers, as well as emerging technology programs. ATL is responsible for all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, mask making, wafer fabrication, test, and assembly. Our devices enable a number of Northrop Grumman’s maritime, ground-based, avionic, and space-based radar systems.
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the technical and management activities associated within Inventory and Transportation area of the foundry. This is inclusive of and not limited to supporting SAP material warehouse requirements for inventory accuracy/traceability and costs for the Controlled and Non-Controlled storerooms including Production, Gas & Chemical, and Engineering materials, managing the Receiving Department, Shipping Department, and the Hazardous Waste 90-Day Storage Area while ensuring full compliance to DOT/IATA/OSHA/DHS and NGC regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Provide leadership and support to team comprised of represented staff. This includes communicating job expectations, timecard approvals, and managing the team in alignment of company policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with Represented Union Policies
Ensure compliance with EHSFP/IATA/DOT/OSHA/DHS regulations
Coordinate and communicate with multiple organizations for receiving and shipping logistics
Manage inventory and dock activities for both Winterson and Test & assembly campuses
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of management or leadership experience in a manufacturing logistics environment
Technical knowledge and understanding of Hazardous material management
Knowledgeable of IATA/DOT/OSHA/DHS regulations
This candidate should be able to work independently and set the team’s priorities based on competing and urgent priorities
Knowledgeable of SAP inventory and shipping functions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in presenting to upper management
Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree with at least 5 years of management or leadership experience in a manufacturing logistics environment
High level understanding of DOT/IATA/OSHA/DHS regulations
Experience with Hazardous material waste
Proficient with SAP inventory and shipping functions along with Ryder Logistics
Experience in semiconductor logistics
Salary Range: $103,800 USD - $155,600 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
