Our greatest asset has been and will continue to be our people.  We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of a Analyst within our Trade Control function (Risk Operations) based in Houston, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of counterparty onboardings and refreshes for Marketing and Midstream
  • Set up and maintain all counterparty master data in E/CTRMs. (i.e., contracts, fees, mappings, interfaces with other systems, etc.).
  • Liaise directly with the counterparty to ensure all information is received and disseminated.
  • Liaise with internal legal teams to execute any required agreements necessary for the relationship.
  • Liaise with other internal support teams to gather or disseminate information as needed.
  • Keep internal trading teams informed of status throughout the entire onboarding process and escalate issues as needed.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information in accordance with OXY’s policies.
  • Prepare and send Authorized Trader Letters and other notices to counterparties.
  • Execute reporting, prepare dashboards, and heatmaps.
  • Assist with annual training.
  • Prepare and distribute quarterly/annual regulatory reports.
  • Respond to internal and external audit inquiries.
  • Manage record keeping for all counterparty intake documents and related correspondences.
  • Cross train on other tasks within the Operations Risk department (i.e., Confirmations, Business Incident Reporting, etc.).
  • Recommend, develop, and implement solutions to support continuous improvement to our processes and procedures.
  • Manage competing priorities and set clear expectations for stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, Legal Studies AND 1-3 years risk operations, regulatory compliance, or audit experience. OR 5+ years risk operations, regulatory compliance, or audit experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in KYC/counterparty onboarding requirements.
  • 1-3 years of experience in managing master data in an ETRM (i.e., Allegro, Right Angle, or TriplePoint).
  • Ability to effectively analyze/vet counterparty information and documentation to facilitate transaction enablement.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging deadlines, high sense of urgency.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative and positive team player focused on achieving team success.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Proven experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across time zones.
  • Experience in visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau or Visio.
  • Experience in creating Training Manuals and or Desk Procedures.
  • Proficient in SQL.
