1. ORGANIZATION

 POSITION TITLE:Project Engineer REPORTS TO:Operations excellence & Performance ManagerINCUMBENT: SUPERVISOR: GROUP: DATE:12 15 2022DEPARTMENT:Packaged Gas Operations Centre of excellence LOCATION:UAE & Oman

II. POSITION SUMMARY

This job holder will be involved in the installation and management of internal projects execution and management. The primary task will be to manage inhouse projects and installations projects which are on AP premises in the UAE / Oman plants.
 
This role shall support the internal stake holders across the regions for completion of their inhouse projects.

The ideal candidate will possess basic knowledge project management, Project execution .

Market volume: ~ 50 K cylinders/year

V. Main missions of the Project Engineer.  

This position is accountable for the following end results:

 

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned internal plant upgrade projects
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
• Interact with the internal project teams to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
• Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
• Follow the Assigned responsibilities and follow up with subcontractor’s project team.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with core team and project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Review project deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.

• Prioritize Value engineering and cost reduction initiatives and execute specific continuous improvement projects on time.   
• Prepare and issue PR, and follow up its progress
• Implement EH&S procedure during project execution.
• Assist in managing the project life in SAP. 
• Manage the Process and Project status.
• Enter Purchase Requisitions and order parts, managing delivery dates for Internal projects within SAP. Manage discrepancy reporting as required and escalate and follow up as required to manage installation timeline
• Manage quality documents as received from outside vendors and assist in the creation and uploading of project drawings and documents, manual, etc into drives. Manage all Domestic / International shipping coordination as required.

VI.  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

• Mechanical engineering degree and relevant field with minimum 5 years’ experience in handling projects.
• Knowledgeable and well versed in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Proven working experience as a Project Engineer
• Good knowledge on package gas Industry, Gases and its properties and associated plant equipment’s etc.

• Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD for project executions.
• Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance Engineering standards.
• Ability to work with multiple discipline projects at the same time.
• Project management and supervision skills
• Decision making ability and leadership skills.
• Time & Cost management and organization skills
• Valid UAE driving license is a must ***
• Must have a strong sense of service and with internal customer.
• Must be highly motivated with very strong self-direction and initiative and work well in a team environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of people in the organization.
• Strong English communication skills.
