The Job Responsibilities
Assess and develop Draeger’s current and future supply base. Technical knowledge
will support higher complexity supply base.
Develop and communicate Draeger’s global expectations for quality performance,
continuous improvement, quality systems, process controls infrastructure for high
leverage/critical sustaining parts and new products sourced to contract manufacturers.
Perform and coordinate supplier surveys and quality system and process control audits to
applicable ISO standards
Measure and communicate supplier performance on key metrics and the corresponding
continuous improvement plans.
Participate as an active member in the New Product development process supplier evaluation
team and the sourcing core extended team. Lead large scale projects from a purchasing and
SQA standpoint to ensure deliverables are met and positive impact achieved.
Collaborate, train and mentor supplier representatives in best practices in quality systems,
process and controls methods, problem solving and statistical tools. Work internally with other
supplier quality engineers to mentor and train them on best practices for SQA process and
procedures.
Monitor and drive corrective action and continuous improvement activities that directly impact
performance for assigned suppliers and manage cost reimbursement for Cost-of-Non-Quality.
Maintain quality data and manage First Article Inspections.
Performs other duties as needed and assigned.
Your Qualifications
Education:
BS engineering or another related technical field; or equivalent work
experience.
Related Experience:
10+ years in manufacturing/engineering/quality engineering experience with
a minimum of 5-8 years in supplier quality.
Contract Manufacturing, Mechanics, Plastics, Cable/Harness background
SAP Q-Module & Pro-X

Ability to effectively communicate and present information to management and peers; excellent interpersonal and administrative skills
Performs a variety of tasks, and works independently, without appreciable direction
