Refinery Supervisor, 3rd Class Power Engineer

The Refinery Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day an assigned Crush, Refinery or Packaging production operations department shift. They will support the Manager - Production Operations in monitoring and improving plant productivity.
Essential Duties:
Cultivate a safety culture of continuous improvement that is based on the principals of HOP.
Oversee refinery to ensure operations are running at the highest levels of efficiency.
Ensure the refinery is compliant with sanitation requirements.
May provide support in the monthly sanitation inspections and implementation of any corrective actions as necessary.
Track and report shift productivity improvements
Approve daily reports and KPRs for the refinery.
Report and trouble shoot operational issues.
Provide input to the Mgr-Production Operations and/or Plant Manager to plan annual shutdowns
Support Process Safety Management programs
Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance of refinery in all aspects
Help develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans to meet safety, quality and production goals and show continuous improvement in the refinery.
Support the continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes that occur in the refinery.
Monitor KPR’s and help develop plans to bring the refeinry in line with Operations Excellence goals.
Participate in the daily production meetings to remain informed and ensure that the refinery operations activities are aligned.
Participate in root cause analysis, 5 why, HAZOP to drive continous improvement.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
3+ years of experience in oil refining, or related and applicable activities
3rd Class Powering Engineering required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Micrsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and other technical software packages, as needed
Ability to work odd hours, or weekends when required
