Company/Role
Due to continued growth, my client is currently recruiting for an Electronic Product Test Engineer to join their organisation. Reporting to the Group Quality Director, you will play a crucial role in joining the skilled engineering team. You will be responsible for managing the product approval process which will include the maintenance of associated the Technical Construction Files.
Our client produces electrical products for the Automotive Industry. This role would suit a candidate with experience in EMC or RF testing.
Example of Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Design team in understanding the regulatory and legal requirements that will impact the products
Work with various internal company departments and the supply chain to ensure component parts and raw materials meet the necessary quality standards
Support the manufacturing team when troubleshooting product quality issues. This could involve issues with internal processes or production equipment like test and programming rigs
Assist with the introduction of new and modified products within the production team. This may include reliability testing of production test rigs, creating control plans, process flows, PPAP, work instructions and associated documentation
Experience/ Skills Required
Relevant qualifications in electronics or electrical engineering (i.e. HNC/HND/NVQ)
Must have knowledge in EMC or Radio (RF) Testing
Substantial experience in electronics production or design environment
Ideally you will have a background in attaining Product Approvals/Certifications in the UK
Capacity to create test plans for product analysis
Knowledge of New Product Introductions and Engineering Change oversight
Hands-on experience in identifying faults with excellent component-level knowledge
Strong collaboration skills with both internal and external customers and vendors
Flexible to travel within the UK from time to time - This will be limited
