Superintendent, 4 Stroke

As Field Service Superintendent, 4-stroke, you will provide onsite team leading and managing of the assigned team and related activities during the work execution (when applicable).

Main responsibilities Required:
•    Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan and safety-first mindset.
•    Perform overhauls and repairs on assemblies on site and/or in workshops.
•    Perform advanced mechanical as well as electronic & automation and system integration-related troubleshooting on 4-stroke engines and auxiliary equipment.
•    Act as commissioning engineer and lead the related commissioning activities.
•    Perform technical advisory for repair activities executed on customers’ responsibility.
•    Interact professionally with customers during the work execution.
•    Perform and communicate professionally the internal and external progress status of the assigned work.
•    Interacting professionally with FS back office and TS during work execution.
•    Prepare the Service Work Reports with the required parameters related to the quality of the content.
•    Ensure that the work is executed according to Wartsila’s quality, health, and environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
•    To comply with the management system accordingly to what has been implemented locally for her/his position.
•    Perform all activities needed to reach the objectives of the position and comply with the orders, instructions, values, and company policies applicable as an employee and/or the position.
•    Proactively consulting, advising, and promoting available Wartsila solutions and products to customers.
•    To analyze experience and customer feedback data to continuously seek solutions keeping a customer focus mindset to enhance the products.
•    Knowledge sharing ability and ability as a trainer for new colleagues.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
•    Communication in English and Spanish language (reading, writing, and speaking).
•    Information Management skills: MS Office tools advance preferably.
•    IM applications and IM tool’s ability.
•    Wärtsilä knowledge.
•    Communication & customer relations skills.
•    Process focused and optimization mindset.
•    Leading mindset Teamwork and problem-solving skills. Ability to deal with people of different nationalities.
•    Easy to cope with changes.
•    Leading experience with field service personnel.
•    Be willing & available to travel (role will require 70% travel).

•    B.Sc. Mechanical or Electromechanical Degree + 5 years of related experience, or Technical / Vocational school (preferably Mechanical) + 10 years of experience.
