The purpose of this role is to manage the Services Engineering activities and Project Engineering resources in the region. You will create the engineering strategy and produce the technical development plan and the engineering work breakdown.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the implementation and update of engineering risks mitigation plan
  • Collaborate with Services Engineering and Platforms to improve Services portfolio of products and services
  • Own the Configuration and Design Change Management and Engineering Management Processes
  • Manage the technical performances of the systems and provide REX to relevant Services Platform
  • Detect, define and implement the modifications of the maintained products to improve the reliability and serviceability, in order to reduce project costs and improve the performances of the systems
  • Propose innovative solutions and develops and implements R&D programs and new technologies in the maintenance project
  • Support the Product Safety management system ensuring safety risks are mitigated in a timely manner
  • Capture and ensure ownership of regulations and standards to be applied

Key requirements:

  • University degree in Railway Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Automation Engineering or Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
  • Working experience in Railways system/Application engineering
  • Knowledge of rolling stock equipment (knowledge of rolling stock maintenance is an advantage)
  • Working knowledge of safety management systems and safety risk assessment
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, SAP, BI/BO
  • Leadership and engineering team management skills
  • Problem solving capacity (technical and costs evaluation of a solution)
  • Capacity of managing Technical risks
  • Fluent in English (German is an advantage)
