Offshore Drilling Materials Coordinator

Our client is looking for a Offshore Drilling Materials Coordinator for a contract position.

This role is to be part of our clients Drilling Team based Offshore on Drilling Rig . This offshore based role will serve as part of a small Drilling team, as part of the Offshore Logistics / Materials function. The Drilling Materials Coordinator will be expected to perform material management activities of owned and rental equipment offshore on the Drilling Rig. They will be required to keep a up to date real time inventory of all materials onboard and on Supply Vessels.

This is a rotational role based offshore SNS working a 3/3 rotation.

Key Tasks:
• Co ordinate all materials received offshore
• Liase with Drilling Rig personnel and PSV to co ordinate offloading cargo at the rig
• Liase with the vessel master for his requirements to ensure safe stowage of cargo
• Supply detailed instructions of materials to be on and offloaded
• Liase with Onshore DMC and Offshore Drilling Supervisor to ensure equipment is backloaded to the vendors once not required
• Maintain rental register and inventory of all equipment on board complete with serial numbers
• Maintain a container register with test dates , highlight units needing recertification
• Perform physical checks of units and locations onboard the rig
• Liaise with Onshore and Offshore Supervisors to identify requirements for equipment and personnel being sent to the rig
• Responsible for ordering empty units for backloading waste and other materials as required
• Ensure vendors onboard supply detailed inventory of their equipment that is being backloaded
• Responsible for accurate inbound manifest with Dangerous Goods and fuel and water requirements
• Required to be attend the morning Drilling calls each day
• Responsible for the correct manifesting and labelling of airfreight back to Heliport

Requirements
• A proven track record within Drilling Materials Logistics
• IATA, IMDG Certificates held - Preferred
• Class 7 Dangerous Goods Certificate held – Preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of Drilling Equipment and processes
• Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across Microsoft suite, specifically Excel
• A practical understanding of data entry and reporting applications, specifically SAP MM
• Solutions based with strong planning, organising and numeric skills, and an excellent attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills
