Construction Manager - Large Refinery Project - Kuwait
Main Duties : Brevan Global Resources are currently looking for construction manager to work on a large refinery project in Kuwait.
Our client is a leading international engineering and construction company for oil and gas production, refining and petrochemicals and power generation projects throughout the world and they have been awarded the EPC LSTK package to work on this prestigious project.
Details are as follows:
The new multi-billion dollar refinery project, aims to produce and supply ultra-low sulphur petroleum by-products to meet both the needs of the domestic market and international demand.
The scope of the contract for our client includes the engineering, supply, construction and commissioning of the following refining units: 3 crude distillation units (210,000 BPSD each), 3 atmospheric residue desulphuration units (110,000 BPSD each), 3 diesel hydrotreating units (62,000 BPSD each), 2 naphtha hyrdrotreating units (18,200 BPSD each), 2 kerosene hydrotreating units (53,000 BPSD each), a saturated gas unit (8,500 BPSD) and a heavy oil cooling unit.
Applicants must have experience working for leading EPC contractors on large scale, large budget projects.
Education / Experience
Bachelor Engineering Degree is required and applicants must have 15 years industry experience.
General description:
Construction Manager reports to Site Manager. He is responsible for all direct construction
activities and supervision personnel.
Construction Manager is in charge for the success of the construction phase from the
viewpoint of quality and safety performance and conformity to drawings and specifications.
Roles and responsibilities of Construction Manager are:
• Under coordination with the Site Manager, He/she will participate and collaborate – on the
engineering phase- in all the matters related to construction activities.
• To participate during the performance of the engineering project in drawing up the basic
planning of the construction activities.
• Manage and coordinate interface issues.
• Coordinate activities of subcontractors, verifying availability of its resources
• Participate in development of detailed schedules.
• Construction Manager assumes all responsibility with respect to the whole series of
construction operations of the project. He/She ensures the correct termination of the
construction in accordance with the design specifications and the quality regulations and
codes. He is at the head of the Construction Organisation, according to established regulations,
Quality Assurance/Control procedures, work development, programs and budgets, etc.
