Tasks and objective of the position:
The job holder is responsible for the proper execution of all accruing and preventive maintenance and servicing tasks of the operating units 1 (phosphoric acid plant), 2 (phosphate plant) and 4 (hexametaphosphate plant) as well as the administration and infrastructure in compliance with the corresponding regulations on order and safety with a high cost awareness as well as observing the general duties of care. The job holder has to ensure that the operational process can be realised smoothly. He/she is obliged to enforce the corporate policy and management objectives regarding environmental, energy, quality, safety and ethical aspects as specified by the parent company and deposited in the management manual by applying management methods such as 3P strategy and ZIPFES in his/her area. In detail, he is responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Organisation of all maintenance, servicing, inspections and tests that are necessary for the operation of the plants with regard to operational, occupational and plant safety, as well as in accordance with licensing regulations.
- Organisation of the preparation of and compliance with maintenance, servicing and revision plans
- Organisation and, if necessary, engineering preparation of the awarding of contracts to external companies, obtaining of the corresponding offers and supervision of the executing specialist departments and service providers
- Preparation and initial processing of the internal approval process for procurements
- Optimisation of downtimes and maintenance costs
- Reporting to the site director or operations manager and immediate reporting of technical problems.
- Planning of investments and optimisation proposals for existing plants, project development and supervision of realisation as well as processing of permit applications, change notifications and safety analyses in coordination with the plant manager
- Participation in budget preparation and control of compliance
- Staff management, supervision and training
- Active participation in operational tests, processing of customer enquiries, audits and matters of occupational and plant safety
- Participation in the HACCP team
- Ongoing maintenance and review of existing plant documentation,
- Preparation, control and commenting on the project documentation of new investments as well as in their preparation
- Preparation of the draft annual investment plan
- Continuous improvement of maintenance and repair management and reduction of bureaucracy

The following legal, technical and specialised knowledge is required to perform the duties:
Manual Annex 1 - List of applicable regulations, in particular knowledge of environmental, occupational health and safety law,
Knowledge of the legal regulations governing the operation of plants
- Completed university or technical college education as an engineer in chemical process engineering or a comparable discipline
- At least 5 years of professional experience, preferably in a company in the chemical industry
- Good knowledge of English (at least B2) and confident use of PC and Office applications
Required operational knowledge and evidence:
- Knowledge of the hazard prevention plan and in dealing with emergency facilities
- Knowledge in handling hazardous substances and dangerous goods
- Extensive local knowledge and detailed knowledge of all workplaces in his area of responsibility
