Job description

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Saudi Arabia for a:

Senior Digital Control System Technician

Job Purpose:

This is an opportunity for you to be responsible and be In-charge of pre-commissioning and commissioning/startup activities assigned area of a major complex Refinery/Petrochemical Plants.

Your main duties will be to:

Pre-commissioning and commissioning/startup activities for work site assigned to.
Execute appropriate processes needed for Pre-commissioning and commissioning/startup activities for work site assigned, in compliance with procedures and instructions.
Work with operations and operations engineering to solve related system problems.
Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with plant instruction manuals.
Maintain local stock of expendable materials and frequently-used or critical spare parts.



Profile

Ideally, you will have a Degree in engineering discipline from a recognized university with 15 experience in execution of Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning activities for a major complex Refinery/Petrochemical Plants on instrumentation devices and systems in oil refineries, petrochemical plants and/or hydrocarbon industries.
You will have a minimum of 5 years' proven experience working as Senior Digital Control & System Technician in pre-commissioning and commissioning/start-up activities in similar Refinery/Petrochemical Plants.
You will preferably have previous work experience in GCC country. Experience working in Saudi Arabia is advantage.
You will have proven experience in Safety precautions and occupational hazards in the use of equipment; safe work methods and practices.
You will have a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in industry commissioning software and systems and advance skills in Microsoft Office. You will need excellent communication and presentation skills in English both written and verbal in English.
