Position will be responsible for reviewing and managing various activities for Midstream gathering and processing assets including reviewing contracts, analyzing volumes and analysis, customer billings, and internal and external reports. As part of the operational analysis of the gathering systems and plant, the candidate will develop processes and controls, test systems and interact with customers, upstream and downstream departments, and the commercial staff. Their accounting functions will include monthly close processes and earnings variance analysis, journal reviews, balance sheet reconciliations reviews and regulatory reporting.
•Candidate must have an Accounting degree and a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry; of which at least 2 years being in a supervisory role.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are needed to effectively communicate with various levels of management
•Understanding of processing plant and gathering operations
•Excel skills and experience with gas systems, (TIPS or TIEs plant processing systems a plus)
•Must be self-motivated, able to multitask, and work independently
•Must be able to function well in a team environment
•Strong critical thinking skills are required to analyze plant activities and apply GAAP accordingly
