If you are an Engineering Professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Vilter’s world class facility is located in the City of Cudahy, WI near the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. It is there where an aspiring engineer will find a challenging and rewarding career path in the industrial refrigeration field.


  • Be in contact with the sales force and customers on a regular basis providing the technical support they require.
  • Evaluate new sales opportunities by determining what product would be a viable solution to meet the customer’s requirements.
  • Provide system and product design recommendations based on industry best practices and according to customer specifications.
  • Prepare quotations for custom systems, compressors, motors, vessels, evaporators, condensers, valves, lubricants, and electronic control systems with careful consideration of suitability, quality, availability, and cost.
  • Assess existing systems and determine what changes would be necessary to meet the customer’s new requirements. This could involve a system redesign, refrigerant change and component modifications.
  • Assist in processing of orders by checking all the costing and technical details for accuracy.
  • Participate in Vilter training school functions and exhibit our products at national trade shows such as IIAR, RETA, etc.
  • Attend industry related educational courses and be involved in trade organizations.
You identify and seize new opportunities.  You settle differences in productive ways.  You listen to others and are effective in getting your message across to others.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science (Mechanical or Chemical preferred) and 7-10 years of related experience.  Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, customer specifications, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and sales proposals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions of customer requirement
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Science and 7 or more years of Industrial Refrigeration Applications Engineering Experience
