Element has an opportunity for an Interiors Program Manager.  This role is a key function in servicing our clients by ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to their demands, delivering efficient and excellent performance. The Project Manager has daily responsibility to technically supervise testing operations and give clear technical guidance as necessary across a wide range of the laboratory's testing capabilities.



Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and engineering leadership, and supports the development of new technologies within a local laboratory
  • Be accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers including sign-offs of quality control data as acceptable
  • Be expected to obtain guidance in non-routine situation testing
  • Have the ability to oversee standard and/or routine technical problem solving activities
  • Interact with customers on technical issues and questions
  • Provide Input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers
  • Be confident in making both formal and informal presentations on conventional and/or routine testing to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Assist in the professional development of novice technicians and engineers within the local laboratory
  • Carry out crucial examination and implementation of testing concepts and data
  • Utilize an assortment of skill, methods, procedures and materials in advanced testing analysis
  • Be adept at drawing on internal knowledge as well as industry and/or academic resources in reaching testing conclusions


Skills / Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • Possess a high level of expertise related to scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies and boundaries of chosen engineering discipline
  • Possess a Bachelors of Science degree in a science or testing related field
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ pertinent post degree engineering experience (Interiors Testing Experience) , or advanced academic/professional qualifications
  • Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s business
  • In-depth understanding of testing concepts
  • Can analyze and compiles testing data from the tests performed
  • Possess strong computer skills
