If you are a Project Manager, Power Retrofit Controls professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Pittsburgh, PA location, you will be part of the Power Retrofit Projects group who provides fully engineered control system solutions for power plants in North America.  The group focuses on the replacement of existing plant control systems with Ovation and provides all project management, engineering design, system integration, test, and commissioning services to deliver comprehensive solutions to our customers. You will be an essential part of the Power Retrofit Projects group with responsibilities for project management of Distributed Control System solutions within the North American power industry.


  • Provide project management and leadership on multiple retrofit projects
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Actively manage project scope
  • Monitor customer satisfaction throughout execution cycle and deliver top-notch results on all projects
  • Actively manage and track project financial performance
  • Develop and track project schedules and ensure all dates are met
  • Proactively estimate and manage project resources
  • Optimize utilization of global resources in support of department objectives
  • Oversee sub-contractor scope
  • Track progress and issue monthly progress reports
  • Provide technical direction and engineering support
  • Mentor and train retrofit project PMs
  • Develop improvements for products and processes
  • Participate actively in Subject Matter Expert teams
  • Identify and support opportunities for business growth
  • Provide proposal, marketing, and field support


You serve as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts. You adjust communication content and style to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders. You effectively align the interests of multiple, diverse stakeholders.

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • Includes travel up to 30%
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future


  • PMP certification is preferred
