Opportunity for a C-level renewable energy professional to take on the role of Director, BD & Strategy with a top international solar company.

Reporting to the Global MD, this individual will play an key role in defining future opportunities for the business, while subsequently implementing the resources required to recognise this.

You will win new clients and drive global organisational improvement.

This role is remote based with the requirement to spend 1 day per week in London.

Responsibilities:

  • Define new services and business streams to be pursued, before subsequently implementing the necessary means for these to be realised
  • Ensure the company retains its status as an industry leader and internationally recognised name
  • Define new systems and process to increase overall business efficiency and effectiveness
  • Win new third-party clients and generate extensive business opportunities
  • Close major deals and contracts with new and existing partners
  • Drive organisational improvement from top to bottom, including strategy and tactical plans

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in the renewable energy industry, several of which should be focused in solar PV
  • Extensive and active network of influential industry personnel and decision makers
  • Deep experience of renewable technologies, business development/sales execution, and setting up and running transformational projects
  • Proven capability of developing and implementing strategic change effectively
  • A true team player with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to spend 1+ days per week at London HQ
