Emerson is looking for a SALES MANAGER who will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and execution of various Emerson's Business Units programs in a geographic area roughly encompassing the traditional (Territorial) regions of Home Depot. They will work with the Home Depot Regional Vice President, Regional Merchandise Managers, and Merchandising Execution Team (MET) to bring focus and growth on Emerson lines. Additionally, they will lead local efforts for training and execution on national promotions and programs. They will work with the Home Depot Regional Vice President, Regional Merchandise Managers, and Merchandising Execution Team (MET) to bring focus and growth on Emerson lines. Additionally, they will lead local efforts for training and execution on national promotions and programs. AS THE NORTHWEST REGIONAL SALES MANAGER, YOU WILL:
WHO YOU ARE:
Expand sales regionally (via approved host buys, promotions, extra merchandising, etc.) and to meet the stated goals for the various Emerson divisions.
Cultivate strong functional relationships with all levels of regional Home Depot management to ensure that Emerson brands are top of mind and that national Emerson programs, policies, and sets are implemented effectively.
Assist Emerson on Home Depot business issues. Responsibilities to include aiding Merchants, assisting at the Innovation Center, POG layouts, Store Walks, Store refreshes, & any special merchandising assignments. In addition, follow up and connect with Divisions appraising on any issues / current HD Store Support Center topics.
Develop and communicate strategic and tactical plans to Home Depot and MET to ensure flawless execution of programs. Includes use of HD Supplier portal system to discover and improve performance.
Interact with all levels of regional MET management to supply information, document and resolve merchandising/set issues. This includes working in the field a minimum of 3 days per week to verify understanding of expectations.
Coordinate and participate in training of MET and HD personnel where vital.
Focus on top 10-15 stores in the region as well as new stores to ensure that best and most current Emerson programs are in place. Includes partnering with management to build new CMAP/MAP ideas and gain added orders/merchandising space.
Analyze and monitor overall business. Use data & computer programs supplied by Emerson to understand reasons for changes in sales/shipments.
Participate in Home Depot regional trainings/contractor events/trade shows as required to maximize Emerson brands exposure.
Provide market intelligence for Emerson and Home Depot. This includes price shops, promotional space, cross-merchandising opportunities, and competitive activities.
Account management functions with Orchard Supply Hardware.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field OR Equivalent years of relevant work experience.
Minimum 3 years experience selling to retail home improvement centers like The Home Depot
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional internal teams
Capability to communicate to all levels of the organization, internally and in customer organizations, including strong presentation building and delivery skills
Ability to travel up to 60% for the role
