The Opportunity:

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for developing the roadmap of a world class Virtual Power Plant (VPP) platform according to the evolution of DR markets needs and technology trends starting from the foundational services that Enel X has already developed. 

You will work hand in hand with our product strategy teams to understand VPP requirements of the different markets, customer as well as business development needs to appropriately prioritize and specify product investments.

What You'll Do at Enel:

Responsibilities, include, but not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of our internal customers and our markets globally with respect VPP solutions
  • Coordinate effectively with the Product management team to inform and drive the Roadmap development, assuring the successful development of the VPP solution
  • Contribute to the definition of the company strategy in terms of VPP market evolution and informing the long term roadmap to maintain and grow the company positioning
  • Act as a subject matter expert for all the VPP related topics such as multi-market value stacking, management of mixed asset portfolio, portfolio performance optimization, management of market participation for small and non-programmable DERs
  • Document business requirements in the form of features and epics and communicate them effectively to the product owners and the engineering teams
  • Work directly with our engineering teams and represent the voice of customer and the market in the development process
  • Understand Enel X’s product strategy and roadmap across key internal functional areas, including product development, marketing, sales, operations, finance, and legal, and support go to market activities


Who You Are:

  • Strong business acumen and experience developing and presenting robust business cases;
  • Strong customer-oriented mindset and demonstrated ability to lead cross-functionally to achieve results;
  • Teamwork experience, negotiation skills and good ability in solving conflicts;
  • Strong track record of result-oriented achievement in a fast-paced dynamic environment;
  • Ability and willingness to travel; 10% domestic and 5% international.



What You've Accomplished:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, business, renewables, economics, or related degree with a focus on optimization or DERs management; MBA is preferred;
  • 7+ years’ experience in software product management or relevant experience within the product development life cycle
  • 5+ years of experience with Virtual Power Plants programs/solutions and enablement of their participation to demand response and/or energy markets;
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and related software development methodologies, Scrum Product Owner certification, preferred.
