THE ROLE

We are looking for an account manager based in the south of the Netherlands. Your broad experience is in the process industry like Oil & Gas, Power, Chemical and Terminals in the (control) valve business, or adjacent. As a sales professional you are responsible for the financial results in your area for existing and new customers, have a huge drive for result and you are a team player with the proposal team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop profitable new business and growing share in existing base;

  • Meet a defined sales target to achieve and operate within established policy guidelines;

  • Maintain and develop existing customers through high levels of service in order to expand and strengthen the relationship;

  • Manage sales cycles from lead to closure.

  • Co-ordinate complex cross division sales projects.

Additional Information

As account manager for Emerson Automation Solutions (office in Breda) you will need to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills in order to prepare and execute product presentations and product introductions and communicate customer needs and requirements to internal departments.  You will also be visiting potential customers to prospect for new business, you will be acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets and preparing a sales account plan for assigned sales territory.



Requirements

  • 3-5 years relevant experience in sales;

  • Preferably in the process (control) valve industry;

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level in related field;

  • Advanced level of sales, negotiation and presentation skills;

  • Computer Literate (MS Office, with excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint);

  • Business development skills;

  • Verbal and written communication skills fluent in Dutch and English.
