Currently we are looking for a

Group Supply & Trading and Logistics Finance Senior Business Partner

who will contribute to the implementation of Downstream’s strategy, to the fulfillment of profit and payback targets by applying and managing relevant planning and reporting processes in the area of Group Downstream Supply & Trading and Logistics, by supervising the related methodologies and processes. The person will increase Downstream’s value-creating capacity by efficient planning and controlling of resources.

Main Tasks

  • Support the Group DS Commerce & Optimization and Logistics Finance Manager in acting as a point of contact to Group DS Logistics SVP and related direct reports as well as to local Logistics Finance teams
  • Act as the CFO of trading entities within MOL Group (MOL Commodity Trading, MOLTRADE), act as single point of contact to Group Supply and Trading Director and related direct reports
  • Support the allocation of tasks and resources to provide (finance) support to the decision-making of the DS Logistics and Supply & Trading as well as the DS Finance management teams by the preparation of autonomously initiated and proactive analyses and, upon request, by specific analyses, proposals, comprehensive solution alternatives
  • Coordinate the preparation of benchmark analyses and the setup of the relevant range of data.
  • Take part in professional area-related (management) project works and in the business project works, represent the specific professional field in projects
  • Coordinate and supervise the monitoring of MOL Group's efficiency improvement projects in the related business areas
  • Responsible for the preparation of DS business planning and forecasting in the area of Logistics
  • Responsible for the periodical review of the following DS Finance methodologies: Trading Performance Indicator and strategies, Trading incentive calculation, Logistics value-driver tree


  • MSc in economic science or business administration, or in business related technical/applied science areas, CFA qualification is an advantage
  • Professional experience: 4-6 years
  • Knowledge of Logistics and/or commodity trading is a distinct advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable to deal with a large and diverse pool of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of corporate finance and accounting is an advantage
  • User-level MS Office skills and PowerPoint is a plus
  • Full command of English language (written and spoken)
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Agile, quick learner and diligent team player
  • In-depth knowledge of at least one controlling IT system is a plus
  • Project management experience is also a favored addition to the above skillset
