Brunel Energy is working with a major oil and gas company, looking to hire a Financial Analyst to support business from their Baton Rouge, LA office for a 8-month contract. This position will provide stewardship and reporting services to primarily support local refinery management and support the completion of opex driver analysis (GORW), utilized by regional and Global BAR to fulfill corporate reporting and stewardship requirements, through analysis & interface / data integrity reviews with Cluster and local B/L analysts.

Main Functions:

• Providing analytical support in order to deliver financial results.
• Working with internal workers and external vendors to resolve issues and provide ad-hoc financial analysis.
• Preparing cost reports including forecasts/outlooks.
• Assisting with allocation of funds for projects based on approved budgets and monitoring project accounting.
• Validating invoices, expenditures and change requests impacting budgets.
• Identifying and implementing improvements to cost management processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of financial reporting, data analysis, and financial systems.
• At least 5 years of experience.
• Attention to detail.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel or Tableau.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting or related.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Must be authorized to work in the US in a fulltime basis
