Morson Talent are working exclusively with Rolls Royce SMR (Small Modular Reactors) to recruit a Systems Integration Engineer SE Capability Team , who will play a pivotal role in the development and engineering of SMR technology through a complex lifecycle.
Rolls-Royce SMR is a start-up joint special purpose vehicle (SPV) business, specifically created to design, construct and deliver a new fleet of Small Modular Reactor power plants that will be a critical and strategic player in the race to Net Zero carbon emissions globally. Spun out of Rolls-Royce with its pedigree in engineering excellence but also attracting world class inward investment this is an exciting new business with an optimistic opportunity to be a global player in the coming years.
Reporting to the Systems Engineering Capability Manager, the Systems Integration Engineer will be responsible for embedding systems engineering processes, methods and toolsets to enable the integrated digital design framework for the programme. This will involve developing the methods and underpinning processes and then supporting roll out and implementation through detailed engagement with the design teams to ensure full and consistent adoption. This will include requirements management, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), interface management and design information management topics. This will require extensive collaboration with stakeholders across the programme, spanning a wide range of technical subject areas. The Systems Engineering Integration team is a key part in RR SMR Ltd’s digital innovation, and is helping to drive new ways of working into the project.

Work with design leads to develop and document power plant system and sub-system architectures using a model-based approach.
Develop and document engineering methods, processes and guidance to inform design activity.
Roll out integrated digital design methods through training, coaching, and ongoing support to design teams, covering the full spectrum of Engineering Requirements, Evidence, Definition and Verification.
Perform independent reviews to validate designs and monitor the application of defined processes through appropriate use of metrics.
Connect people and information across design silos.
Work with data engineers to innovate the management and communication of design information.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree level qualification in engineering or science discipline.
Chartered Engineer / Scientist / Systems Engineering Professional, or actively working toward professional registration.

Travel: Contracted location of work is in Warrington/Derby although we operate a hybrid working policy allowing you to work remotely with the agreement of your leader, though may require some travel within the working day when visiting other branches or organisations.
Working hours: 37.5 hrs per week are standard office hours with some overtime as required.
