Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing designated quality control systems to ensure continuous production consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals.
Essential Functions:
Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectations for finished products.
Perform studies (R&R, process, etc.) to ensure proper dimensional and visual inspection according to customer requirements.
Establish and monitor control limits in production processes in order to reduce process variation.
Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures according to customer requirements in order to meet established standards.
Participate in internal audits according to the AS9100 internal audit program in order to comply with the standard for external certification.
Participate in the development of corrective actions to ensure product, process and Quality Management System conformance in order to correct root cause and prevent recurrences.
Evaluate and select green inspectors in order to meet the required demand.
Supervise and direct the functions and activities of green inspectors in order to be consistent with standards and specifications.
Qualifications:
Skills and knowledge requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Quality
3-5 years of experience in the area of Quality Control in a similar company preferred.
