As a Maintenance Operations Leader at Metem, a GE Power business, you will lead a team of individuals maintaining precision cooling hole manufacturing equipment for power generation and aerospace industries to enable engines to run more efficiently.
Roles and Responsibilities
Coordinate maintenance activities including work assignments, scheduling, and training
Drive business critical metrics including safety, quality and productivity
Work with cross-functional peers in manufacturing, engineering, planning, quality, etc. to resolve issues
Develop and support the growth of employees
Maintain a performance-oriented work environment encompassing timely performance appraisals, feedback, and disciplinary action when warranted
Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees
Coordinate work performed by contractors and outside vendors
Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates
Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of equipment and facilities
Control and monitor spare parts inventory
Oversee operation of the wastewater treatment system
Maintain maintenance and equipment records using a CMMS system
Maintain equipment calibration records
Assist with determining causes of breakdown and takes appropriate action
Drive improvement in the department through the implementation of best practices
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience in a maintenance leadership position)
Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in maintenance operations.
Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics
Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
Experience with CMMS systems
Project Management skills
Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
