Team Information

The Group IT Enterprise Architecture Team is responsible for providing architectural guidance and support for Digital & IT related programs and projects, from solution design to its implementation. The team defines IT standards for cloud, application, data, infrastructure & security domains reinforcing IT governance in new solutions integration and managing any impact on IT architecture landscape. The team is composed of IT Enterprise Architects expert in Cloud, Infrastructure, Applications, Data, Business Intelligence and Security, managed by the Enterprise Architecture Manager, and part of the IT Project Department.

Role description
We are seeking an experienced IT solutions architect, with a strong understanding of designing IT solution architecture compliant with SBM IT standards & guidelines. The IT Solutions Architect must display the ability to think strategically and to operate at all levels of the organization and be able to utilize general design and architecture experience to understand and contribute to the enterprise architectural vision of the organization.URL blocked - click to apply

• Understand business drivers and capabilities (future and current state), and determine corresponding enterprise system designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes,
• Support Business in new solutions’ qualification via RFI/RFP exercise and provide recommendation according to IT standards and technical costs,

• Design and lead the implementation of the solutions architecture based on the different architecture packages such as Cloud, Application, Data, Infrastructure and Security,

• Work in project execution mode, with Business & IT stakeholders to ensure the solution architecture meets the project design requirements,
• Be accountable for the solution architecture project deliverables incl. solution cartography,
• Collaborate with IT solutions delivery team to improve design & reference architecture,

• Monitor the current-state IT solution reference architectures to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application, or misalignment with business requirements,

• Understand technology trends and solutions of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models,

• Define the principles, standards, and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision,

• Design and direct the governance activities associated with ensuring solutions architecture assurance and compliance,

• Develop a roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise Cloud services portfolio from future to current state (as defined by the enterprise architecture),

• Facilitate the evaluation and selection of Cloud data services and appropriate design & integration,

• Consult Technical Architects to develop Application, Data, Infrastructure and Security standards.

Role Requirement

Our preferred candidate for the role of IT Solutions Architect has a master’s degree in computer science, Information (Systems) Management or equivalent. Minimum five years of experience in a similar role with proven track in designing solution architecture including cloud data technologies. This is a senior technical role, requiring strong experience, to support SBM Offshore Digital Transformation from our current IT architecture maturity, to an end-to-end blueprint and technology roadmap. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbally and the experience with working with global teams in various time zones.

In addition to this, you preferably have knowledge, experience, and competencies on the following subjects:

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation,
• Ability to understand the long-term ('big picture') as well as short-term perspectives of situations,
• Ability to translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements,

• Excellent analytical and technical skills,

• Knowledge of all components of an enterprise technical architecture,

• Strong expertise of Cloud application design, integration technologies & design (ETL, Orchestrator, API),
• Expertise in Web Development & Data architecture,
• Expertise in modern/innovative technologies,
• Good knowledge in Microsoft Azure Data technologies & services (Azure App, Integration, IoT, Data Explorer),
• Good knowledge in Agile/Devops methodology,
• Knowledge in Enterprise Architecture framework & tool is a plus,
• Knowledge in DataOps is a plus,
• Knowledge in monetization of IT services/Cloud marketplace is a plus,
• English language mandatory.
