About the role

This role will lead and perform the Software Development Manager for the Engineering function within the INTEGRA® ecosystem and is accountable to the Head of Engineering – Technology. The role is responsible for managing the delivery teams, Product Development Teams and executing the product deployment in close collaboration with the broader Product Management.

  • Strong understanding of software engineering concepts, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Microservices, IoT Platforms & Paradigms, etc.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the overall project and effectively communicate such understanding to the applicable Project Team members under his/her supervision;
  • Monitor and control product development costs within budget and liaise with management in relation to any design changes;
  • Ensure a common approach to design templates, interface management, design deliverables, reporting and delivery program management;
  • Review and oversee design outputs to ensure compliance with the project requirements

About You

  • Tertiary degree qualification to Bachelor status in Engineering (or equivalent industry experience in the absence of a degree);
  • 10 years experience in the industry (in technology or related market verticals), rail, automotive, military, Defence, avionics or any other safety critical environment
  • Must have an Australian Drivers Licence
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks and simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
