Description

The Regional logistics analyst represents Emerson Corporate logistics Ocean program ex North Asia. She/he acts on daily ocean booking monitoring, space negotiation, risk management, SCO(Supply Chain Optimization) system onboarding, program continuous improvement concerning the on-time delivery for all the Emerson paid ASNA (Asia to North America trade lane) Ocean shipments.

Responsibilities

CONTINGENCY: 
-Communicate market updates, potential risk in the supply chain within the region. 
-Timely coordination of shipment at contingency report due to any supply chain disruption that may cause shipment delays(pandemic, port congestion, port strike, typhoon, etc.) 
-Help out in reporting any space constraints within the region on a timely manner & coordinate with mode team leader on contingency.
CONTINUEOUS IMPROVEMENT: 
-Continuously look for ways on how to improve operational & program performance by providing analysis on how shipments can be further optimized, how operational performance of both suppliers and service providers can be improved.
-Ensure carrier allocation is being followed as per routing guide. 
-Continuously ensure supplier & service providers compliance on Ocean Program Requirements
DAILY OPERATION:
-Manage day to day operations for the Ocean Program in North Asia & China regions as the primary contact and Southeast Asia/India/Australia as back-up contact.
-Review and provide quick response or guidance on Program escalations. 
-Manage service provider Local Charges. Review and provide approval for any updates/changes. 
-Maintain Business Units Volume forecast and manage requirements at origin with the carriers. 
-Provide operational support in the completion of migration of Ocean shipment into SCO.



Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in logistics, shipping, supply chain, business management and related fields. 
  2. Ability to collaborate with global team under different cultural backgrounds.
  3. Ability to influence and convince business units and suppliers on program compliance and improve their delivery based on market. 
  4. Strong communication skills both in Chinese and English  in the aspects of project management, escalation management  and risk assessment.
