If you are Engineering Student looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Saint Louis, Missouri location, you will develop skills with 2D and 3D CAD, electronic layout, and programming experience by designing, testing, and building prototypes. You will work with other members of the new product development and sustaining engineering teams to solve manufacturing, customer, quality, and engineering problems, with existing White-Rodgers components during the product development phases. AS AN ELECTRO-MECHANICAL CO-OP, YOU WILL:
WHO YOU ARE:
- Assist with prototyping.
- Assist with other general engineering tasks, as directed by the supervisor.
- Generate 2D and 3D drawings.
- Operate laboratory test equipment, machine shop tools, and data acquisition equipment.
- Perform data collection.
You treat mistakes as stepping-stones and reduce risk by testing consequences. You utilize analytical tools to help explore potential scenarios. You flex your style to accommodate differences. You try different solutions for problems and learn from the results. You seek out experts and innovators to learn about the impact emerging technologies might have on your business.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Elecro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
- At least 3 semesters of course work in the fundamental concepts of the following mechanical engineering principles: mechanics of materials, electrical AC/DC circuits, machine dynamics, engineering design, fluid dynamics, and applied thermodynamics.
- Basic skills in 2D and 3D CAD.

About our Location
This location is the host of Emerson’s corporate headquarters and Commercial and Residential Solutions Tools, Hermetic Motors, and other businesses. Our products, such as the InSinkErator, Sensi, and RIDGID, have become household names that support the comfort and well-being of our customers. The ComRes platform employees at this location provide support to the various businesses within Commercial and Residential Solutions, allowing for many networking opportunities across businesses.
