Eaton’s Aerospace division is currently seeking a Quality Lead to join our team. This position is based at our Tijuana Facility The Quality Lead is responsible for executing the defined Strategic Quality Plan in conjunction with plant leadership in Tijuana Mexico. Under the leadership of a QA Manager, works closely with current Eaton Product transitions sites to ensure all quality requirements are met for production in Tijuana, Mexico. As Quality Lead, this position will have the responsibility to align the resources and evaluate their effectiveness to define actions to improve their performance and exceed their expectations. The position is responsible for overseeing and leading all activities associated with manufacturing and production of deliverable product to meet customer expectations. The leader monitors and manages salaried resources in the assignment of work responsibilities, development, and alignment of resources to make sure the Quality Requirements are understood and met. The position drives continuous improvement in quality while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Eaton Quality System (EQS). This position would lead Quality process team utilizing Lean/Six Sigma tools and corrective action teams using 8D methodologies. Interface with internal and external customers and also suppliers. Drive quality system improvements and organizational development. Provides quality assurance support to customers, suppliers, partners and internal manufacturing cells and participates in continuous improvement activities in targeted areas. Executes the Quality Assurance strategy to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements, and assuring compliance with the suppliers. Some activities related with the position will be: Effective management of the QA resources through Eaton Leadership Model. Train and develop team members as well as providing oversight and coaching to other team members as part of the Development of Resources. Actively engage and recognize employees for their results and provide coaching for areas of opportunity. Empower employees – drive decision making down through organization Work as a team with the support departments in order to define necessary actions to meet customer requirements. Ensure EQMS requirements are flow down and integrated to the Eaton Tijuana Quality System. focus on Quality tools such as: QLIs (Quality Leading Indicators), MCO (Manufacturing Change Order), LPA (Layered Process Audit), DCP (Dynamic Control Plans). Acts as POC with any activity related with Internal/External Audit. Executes the development, implementation, and improvement of the appropriate Quality Management Systems throughout the operation, providing advanced quality planning support in the development and launch of new products, processes and services. Plan the internal Audit program so all key process are audited and confirm compliance to the Quality System, regulatory and customer specific requirements. Analyzes organizational quality metrics and performs periodic reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans to close gaps at an operational level. Develops and analyzed statistical data and product/process performance to recommend and implement improvements in targeted areas. Contributes in the design and implementation of quality assurance training programs and conducts training quality related topics. Participates in product development and launch activities including identification of customer expectations, manufacturing and test support, reliability analysis, design reviews, evaluation of test programs, material testing. Provides support in the way of development and evaluation of process capability process control plans, analysis of out-of-control conditions and process audits. Develops, implements, and audits inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions. Participate in the Customer Scorecards Review and support actions to improve their satisfactions as applicable Support with the implementation and sustain for the Quality Initiatives, including PPAP and CAPA processes to support the Quality Lead Indicators #LI-AP01 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: 5 years Quality System experience in Aerospace Industry Preferred. Bilingual English/ Spanish Good communication skills Computer Skills Blueprint reading knowledge Knowledge of industry and customer specific quality registration schemes and certification processes (ISO9001, AS9100) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 or similar. MS or MBA a plus Green belt certified a plus We make what matters work.
