My client is in need of a Sr Structural Engineer that has at least five years of experience  creating structural engineering designs. This would include preparation and confirmation of engineering sketches for steel structures, equipment foundation, piling and concrete foundations.  This position is contract based and they are looking for someone who is near the Long Beach, CA area. It is a hybrid schedule and the hourly rate is dependent on experience. 

A qualified candidate would look like-

• Coordinate with and gather information from other disciplines and owner, with knowledge of the impact of other discipline design data on structural design
• Prepare structural calculations and drawings based on latest building codes and industry standards, structural MTOs, scope of work documents and other engineering deliverables
• Prepare/review specifications and reports
• Supervise, guide and mentor junior and intermediate designers and/or engineers
• Visit job site, perform job walk and take necessary measurements.
• Registered as civil or structural engineer in California
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
