Job Description

As a Hardware Lead Engineer for the Steering Wheel Actuator you support the Steer by Wire (SbW) Project Leaders with acquisition activities, with focus on selecting the right product variants, according customer needs and product availability / platform variant. You are the first customer contact for SbW application project in terms of Hardware specific content and bridge between customer request and platform / expert SbW team.

Your tasks in leading the SE-team Hardware (HW) in particular:

Ensures on cost, on budget, on spec delivery of the customer project for all Electrical HW components
Implementation of broken down functional/non-functional product requirements (i.e. reliability, NVH, performance, thermal behavior)
Guarantee of product producibility and constant alignment with industrial engineering
Preventive quality assurance e.g. Design FMEA, DRBFM, MOC
Consolidation of Component and subsystem validation plan
Implementation of BES-PE methodolody and Risk Management
Collaborates closely with SE-team Mechanics and software to achieve the system optimum to fulfill customer requirements
Preparation of E/E releases within the project scope (e.g. Level x)
Coordination to Bosch Automotive Electronics (AE), Motor & Sensor suppliers and prototyping and support of prototype and serial production

Qualifications

Education: completed studies in a technical field, engineering or equivalent
Personality and Working Practice: Analysis and decision-making skills, ability to work in a team
Experience and Knowledge: Deep product understanding of E/E components and their interdependencies
Project management especially: Stable, consistent transparency of risks and problems, realistic planning of product development, internal and external convincing skills, organizing Internal Escalation, integration of line management and platform, integration and motivation of the SE team
Technical excellence especially: Good understanding of product development, Methodological experience (FMEA, DRBFM, FTA)
Languages: fluent English, good German
