We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician/Field Technician/Sr. Field Technician for our Boling, TX office.
In this position, you will carry out daily operation and maintenance tasks associated with the pipeline and compression facilities in the Boling, TX operating area and adjacent operating areas and will be responsible for environmental, health & safety for natural gas transmission through the pipeline system located in the Boling, TX operating area. Specific duties will consist of, but are not limited to, valve inspection and maintenance, tank gauging, pipeline locating, pipeline patrolling, one calls, and compressor station operations. You will be responsible for performing all assigned construction duties as well as preventive pipeline maintenance and operations related to meter station, corrosion control, and right of way maintenance and recognition and reporting of abnormal and safety related operating conditions, accident and near miss reporting, as well as emergency response. You will also be responsible for regulatory compliance, operations, maintenance, and repair procedures as associated with DOT, PHMSA, industry standards, manufacturer, and company guidelines as they relate to facility equipment and appurtenances and will be expected to respond to call-outs and be on a call-out rotation related to pipeline and compression. You must live within 30 miles of the Boling, TX office in order to respond to call outs expediently and will be required to complete Core Blocks in Safety, Environmental and Company policies and procedures.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
*History of safe work
*Excellent verbal communication skills
*Physical requirements - standing/walking, climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolds, bending/stooping/squatting, carrying and lifting items 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet
*Working conditions - exposure to extreme heat and cold temperatures and enclosed spaces
*Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
*Strong computer skills
*High school diploma or equivalent
*Problem solving skills and the ability to manage a filing system
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
*Experience working with natural gas pipelines and compressor facilities as well as familiar with DOT 192 Regulations
*Applicable associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
