As a Principal/Associate Waste Water Modeller within our Water Team, you will provide technical leadership and guidance to a team in the delivery of waste water projects to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery for internal and external clients.
The role primarily involves providing support on hydraulic modelling studies for our core regulated industry water clients using industry standard software (InfoWorks ICM), but we also have teams engaged in a variety of projects utilising TUFLOW, causeway flow, our in house FRM and other hydraulic modelling software depending upon our diverse base of clients needs. You will be expected to work within the existing team to interrogate / enhance models as well as building new models to assess and understand asset performance.

A typical week would include:
A typical week would include: Provide technical input on water and or wastewater projects as part of a project team. Technical oversight of Engineers ensuring high quality outputs. Supporting Technical Directorate in the execution of our Technical Strategy. Support to development of Feasibility studies and optioneering. Use of network models to evaluate and optimise Asset Performance. Preparation of reports and supporting drawings. Definition of work needed by field investigation teams. Developing and maintaining excellent client relationships at all levels. Provide guidance to, and manage the work of local technical delivery team. Coordinate and facilitate project meetings internally and with clients. Contribute to the learning of the wider team through knowledge sharing exercises. Promote the WSP brand through appropriate industry forums and conferences.
We'd love to hear from you if you have: With a degree in a relevant discipline you will be a chartered member (or equivalent) of a relevant professional institution. With extensive knowledge and experience in catchment planning you'll be able to check the technical outputs of the team prior to issue for authorisation. You will have knowledge and experience of the main management systems & processes used within WSP or a similar consultancy business and will be able to carry out technical compliance checks for project team outputs. With computer literacy you will be able to work without supervision and will have the drive and determination to meet targets.
