This is a fast growing gas & power multinational with a global reach both in terms of physical assets and customers. In line with its growth ambitions, the group is looking to build a Singapore based team of LNG Commercial analysts to high performing business developers and negotiators.
Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the LNG Commercial Analyst will drive analysis on its mid-long term LNG contracts and the related gas & power markets. Through the use of scenario planning, pricing analysis, financial modelling, you will analyse comparable mid-long term LNG contracts, understand the key drivers for LNG prices for review, and report market and price findings to the internal stakeholders. The research findings will play a pivotal role in the formulation of LNG negotiation strategies and shape the team’s mid-long term objectives during LNG contract negotiations. Through the engagement of specialized external consultants and other subsidiaries in the group, he/ she will help gather and distribute relevant market intelligence.
The successful candidate will be degree qualified in a numerate or quantitative discipline, with 2 – 5 years’ experience in gas or LNG Market pricing and analysis, either in-house or with consulting firms. You will have proven track record supporting commercial re-negotiations and price reviews, backed by market and pricing analysis. Described as highly analytical, you will have a good grasp of negotiations and support these negotiations through robust pricing analytics and advanced modelling skills. Those with network and access to LNG and gas market intelligence will have a distinct advantage.
