  • Manage key elements of the Civil and Dam Safety Programmes with a focus on detailed engineering review including the rolling program of dam safety reviews
  • Play a lead role in the improvement of the Asset Management System using best practice engineering and application of processes and tools
  • Mentor, develop and support members of the Civil Assets Team

About You:

With approximately 20+ years experience as a Civil/Dams Engineer, you are either already working as a Principal Engineer or as a Technical Specialist ready to take that next leap in your profession. You have had exposure to working on long life intergenerational civil and dam assets, a good working knowledge of risk management guidelines and performed qualitative risk assessments.

About the role:

Working alongside our Dam Safety Manager and Civil Portfolio Manager you will have the responsibility to lead a significant program working with the brightest engineers from across Australia and the world. Whilst you wouldn’t have any direct reports you will be mentoring our engineers as well as guiding teams of external consultants. Your skilled team will take care of the day to day management of projects while you will spend your time setting up programs of work, adjusting as necessary and performing technical reviews.

As a role model you will be key in driving safety and environmental culture and performance across the team and organisation. You also get the opportunity to travel to our remote power stations to support our operations whilst still enjoying a work life balance.
