*This position will be filled as an IT Specialist I or II depending on experience.*Position Purpose: This role provides day-to-day support and expertise for one or more real time system applications currently supporting the business. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the availability of an application for end users, and support the planning, design, development, and testing of new applications and enhancements. Primary Duties & Areas of Responsibility:Provides under direction implementation, testing, debugging and support of cyber security controls for critical components and systems at the nuclear plants.  This includes systems such as plant digital control systems, emergency planning systems, security systems and plant monitoring systems and components  such as digital recorders, transmitters, feedback controllers, inverters/power supplies, relays, breakers, and process network infrastructure.Provides under direction operational support for the site cyber security infrastructure which includes such items as SIEMS, vulnerability and compliance scanners, networking components, servers and workstations.Develops and provides technical expertise on the cyber security operations of the nuclear plant and the plant components identified as critical digital assetsParticipates in and/or reviews periodic assessments, benchmarks and tabletops of the Cyber Security Program.  Supports NRC, INPO and other external parties in the audit and inspection of the Cyber Security Program.Takes a participatory role in cyber incident response and recovery, the identification of vulnerabilities in the network, and the performance of risk assessments on new and existing computer systems and equipment.Develops technical expertise on computer network and system security issues and technologies.  Monitors networking systems against cyber-attacks and implements risk mitigation counter measures.Develops a thorough knowledge of 10 CFR 73.54, NEI -08-09, site Cyber Security Plan, cyber security implementing procedures, and the cyber security defense‑in‑depth protective strategy.Performs and monitors activities such as Critical Digital Asset (CDA) identification, design modifications involving CDA’s, control of portable digital media for connecting to CDAs, maintenance of CDA-related documentation.Maintains compliance to cyber security implementing procedures.Participates in Emergency Response activities at the nuclear site (in addition to cyber emergency response). Minimum Educational Background and Physical Requirements Required to perform Job:Bachelor’s Degree Engineering Discipline or Experience Equivalent, EIT helpful  - desired as relevant, IT or Engineering experience (will review IT Degrees) Minimum Experience Required:IT Specialist I: 0-2 years of relevant technology delivery with Subject Matter Expertise.IT Specialist II: 2-4 years of relevant technology delivery with Subject Matter Expertise.Provide operational support, ensuring production systems and devices are online and available; this includes non-business hours on-call supportSupport the design, development, and testing of real time systems applications and enhancementsUnderstand client business needs & objectives Critical Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Ability to support real-time systemsAbility to support cyber security activities such as, system hardening, patch management, and configuration managementKnowledge of security controls testing, security audits, and security assessmentsAbility to support fraud and computer forensics research Leadership Style/Characteristics: Highly motivated and ability to work with limited direct supervisionEffective Teamwork and Inclusion (e.g. works collaboratively, builds collaborative relationships)Good written and oral communication skills  Primary Location: Arkansas-RussellvilleJob Function: Information TechnologyFLSA Status: ExemptRelocation Option: No Relocation OfferedUnion description/code: NON BARGAINING UNIT Number of Openings: 1Req ID: 99764Travel Percentage:Up to 25% An Equal Opportunity Employer, Minority/Female/Disability/Vets.
