The Opportunity

As a Power Systems Engineer within our highly successful T&D team, you will be involved in the secondary design of HV transmission, distribution and generation projects within the ANZ region.

You will be working within an engaging team of T&D experts in a supportive environment where learning and growth opportunities are actively encouraged.

Day to day responsibilities include;

Concept and Detailed Design of HV substation systems, HV cable systems and earthing systems
Site visits, inspections and testing as required (eg. soil resistivity testing)
Preparing design reports
Assisting with preparation of proposals
Managing smaller projects or parts of larger projects including coordinating multiple disciplines
Providing technical expertise in accordance with project time, quality and cost objectives as agreed with Project Managers

Minimum Requirements

About You

You will have a solid grounding in secondary electrical design and be able to demonstrate;

University degree - BE Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
2-5 years relevant experience in T&D substation design
Knowledge of the T&D industry in New Zealand
Site experience/experience in projects being constructed and commissioned would be ideal
Experience in suitable software packages
Excellent organisation and communication skills
Self-motivated and keen to progress career
