The Human Resources Partner will be responsible for providing the full scope of HR leadership, guidance and support for the Bangor Manufacturing site. In this role, the chosen candidate will drive strategy, integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, be involved in long-term planning, and manage complex issues across multiple functions.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide leadership and expertise for the full scope of Human Resource (HR) functions including all aspects of professional relations, hourly relations, employee benefits, compensation, employee engagement, practices, training, organizational change and development and communications for client groups.
Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead projects with complexity and business impact. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
Perform a leadership role in recruiting, selection, performance management and career development
Partner with the clients to define roles and missions, design the organizational structure, and drive organization effectiveness
Advise, coach, counsel, and provide candid feedback to People Leaders
Lead the HR team to deliver business results while promoting employee advocacy
Provide support and deliver training on a variety of Human Resources topics including interviewing, employee engagement, site policies and EEO compliance
Facilitate communications throughout the organization and act as an employee advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment
Ensure that routine and complex employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved to drive and promote a work environment that is in compliance with the Spirit and the Letter
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a variety of Human Resource or related positions
Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial / Labor Relations or Business Administration from and accredited college or university
Experience in areas such as arbitration, national labor relations board proceedings, EEO / AAP compliance and litigation
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
In-depth understanding of HR concepts and principles gained through formal education and substantial work experience
Prior experience in Manufacturing environments
Demonstrated experience in making strategic HR decisions, assessing leadership talent and effectively interfacing with and coaching high-level business and operations leaders
Ability to energize and lead in complex, matrix, goal-driven organizations
Demonstrated ability to work in a demanding, high performance work environment and create a positive, team-oriented culture
