PURPOSE:

 Manager supporting development activities, commercial management and contract administration for DG LLC projects.

 ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (Must be able to perform these responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.)

 l    Assume supporting role for greenfield or brownfield projects and coordinate development efforts required to bring them through permitting, financial closing, and commercial operation.

 l    Coordinate with the accounting department for making invoices, keeping track of payment amounts and liaise with external parties (i.e. contractors, consultants etc.) preparation of real-time actual to budget spreadsheets and capturing support documentation.

l    Support oversight of all project and financial reports required by project agreements, including drafting power point/excel/bar chart slides for presentation material.

l    Project Contracting: support the negotiation of project contracts and subsequent administration Keeping track of all business documents, including contracts, agreements and proposals.

l    Prepare proposals for tenders and request for proposals.

 l    Report to senior staffs in the organization.

l    Project Communication: management of partner & stakeholder engagements including meetings, events, website(s).

  OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

 l    Knowledge of the electric power industry and non-utility, independent power, generating industry; Willingness to learn about non-recourse project financing, contracts, EPC contracts, off take agreements, tolling arrangements, hedge agreements, permitting requirements, generating facility technical requirements, market demographics, current regulatory situation and other pertinent information.   

 l    Required computer skills include extensive experience in the following: (i) computer modeling with a spreadsheet package (EXCEL) containing multiple page formats with interlinked calculations and macros; (ii) a word processing package (WORD), (iii) a presentation package (POWERPOINT); (iv) a scheduling program (PROJECT) and (v) internet-based E-mail system (OUTLOOK).

 l    Strong verbal and written communication skills with related abilities required to compile reports on project status, present explanations or project benefits/risks, describe potential financial structures to achieve company and project goals, generate acquisition proposals and maintain various business contacts.

 l    Analytical, time-management skills.

 l    Willingness and ability to work extended hours when transactions require it.

EDUCATION:

l    This position requires a four-year college degree, preferably with a focus in business management, finance, engineering or sciences.  A graduate degree in business administration, public policy or engineering is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

 

l    Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a development and/or project execution at an independent power producer, electrical power industry consultant, or unregulated subsidiary or an electric utility company.

l    Project site experience is preferred.

 SCOPE:

 Works under limited supervision both independently and in a team environment.   Involves contact with all levels of employees, require external contact with vendors and corporate management team.
