We are looking for a top-tier Account Manager with phenomenal selling skills! Being part of our team, you will be growing new projects and expand business for Software and Solutions in new customer sites across the South of Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell our portfolio and meet or exceed financial targets
  • Understand customer business drivers and demonstrate linkage between recommended products/solutions to the customer’s process needs and business objectives
  • Find opportunities within territory and if required, assist with major project pursuits together with the Pursuit Team
  • Own the promotion/selling of additional products and solutions
  • Collaborate with the proposal team to lead customer quotes
  • Develop account plans for installed Customers to improve post project business
  • Collaborate with other Emerson Business Unit Regional Sales Teams to improve content with all Emerson customers and to promote higher-level solutions and bring to bear new opportunities
  • Actively and efficiently utilise the available sales and support processes, including Solution Selling, Account Plans, CRM (Customer Relationship Management system), sales negotiation and presentations


What you need:

  • Education to HNC and/or Degree level in Engineering field or equivalent

  • Background and experience in Field Sales and Engineering

  • Proven track record of direct selling in a B2B environment

  • Experience in securing new business via existing and new customers

  • Consistent record of establishing long term relationships with external customers

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with the Emerson portfolio – an appreciation and ability to understand product applications is needed

  • Communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • Effective presentation skills

  • Digital literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • English proficiency to business standard

  • Ability to travel to fulfil duties of the role
