Process Engineer (Crush & Extraction)

Your Responsibilities
  • Assist the department manager in the efficient and safe operation of the production of crude vegetable oil and animal feed
  • The Process engineer is required to replace the Extraction manager when absent.
  • Identify process improvements with a strong focus on safety, process safety and cost saving. Able to initiate and execute process improvement projects from start to finish.
  • Responsible for the whole scope of the project including: safety, contractor supervision, quality of execution, purchasing and budget supervision.
  • Production Process Trouble shooting.
  • Risk assessments and audits.
  • Managing minor and medium size process engineering projects.
  • Supervise contractors and own personnel on specific jobs and tasks.
  • Design and implement process changes
  • Report and action on Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality related faults, failures and non-conformances.
  • Your Profile
  • MSc, BSc, MEng, BEng, in Chemical Technology, Process Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a strong affinity to the process industry.
  • Process Engineering or Process Management or Project Management.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Standard MS skills (word, Excel etc).
  • Desire to spend time in plant areas tolerate extreme temperatures, walk long distances, stand, climb stairs and ladders and move through confined spaces.
  • Dedication to working safely and to the awareness for the safety of others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with plant colleagues and management team
