Job Description:

Responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to meet business objective.

Duties and Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management
Supervise and lead engineers
Direct and coordinate operations, quality assurance, and testing
Establish administrative policies, procedures, and standards.
Leading a team and promoting a test-driven development cycle to maintain the highest level of software quality.
Ensuring the development of well-designed and testable code.
Reviews department objectives for adequacy and alignment with business objectives
Creating and executing strategy and roadmaps & generating IT budget in conjunction with other stakeholders.

Timely update with higher levels of management

Product and Project Development
Leading a team of engineers to deliver winning products.
Oversee the research and development of new products and procedures.
Discuss, design and draft project specifications.
Review, approve, or modify products.
Monitors progress against project schedules and budgets
Recommends allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals
Plan, develop & oversee projects, and quality control.
Plan and formulate engineering program and organizes project staff according to project requirements
Planning and executing strategies for completing projects on time.

Technical Operation and Maintenance
Follow-up on permanent corrective action plans to resolve any outstanding issues related to quality, testing, equipment, tooling and other technical issues
Leading a team to manage the overall IT operations ranging from infrastructure to applications.
Gathering and evaluating user feedback.
Providing code documentation and other inputs to technical documents.
Supporting continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
Troubleshooting and debugging to optimise performance.
Managing day-to-day stakeholder interaction, identifying needs and evaluating solutions.
Working with other internal stakeholders as well as third party vendors to ensure solutions are in line with current & future business requirements.
Architecting, designing, developing and deploying new features for mobile applications.
Building on new features, software analysis, software design, code implementation, software integration, module verification and validation.
Building tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience.
Conducting post-release and post-implementation testing.
Designing and implementing mobile applications.
Designing procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance and train team members.
Executing test cases (manual or automated) and analyzing results.
Investigating and resolving technical issues by deploying updates/ fixes.
Liasing with stakeholders and communicating business impact of defects to product/engineering teams.
Monitoring and creating logs to document testing phases and defects.
Participating in the definition and implementation standards for mobile development.
Performing functional testing of features for release cycles, including creating/executing test cases, raising defects and maintaining defect logs.
Refining and implementing QA processes, standards and controls.
Reviewing and analyzing specifications to develop effective test plans and preparing data sets for testing.
Building a strong blockchain product offering.
Driving release and sprint planning sessions.

Qualifications :

Minimum 3 years team management experience, with technical leadership skills for problem solving and conflict resolution
Extensive knowledge of engineering practices and principles as well as understanding scientific methods of problem solving
Proven supervisory and technical skills.
Demonstrated ability with product design methods, cost analysis, interpersonal skills and the ability to integrate all of these skills to deliver result
Excellent program and project management skills with strong document management
Excellent analytical skills including the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, process, change and improve design and equipment
Able to manage multiple projects and tasks
Understanding of both frontend and backend requirements and methodologies
Knowledge of most of the practices, tools or technologies: AWS, CI/CD, Java, .NET, Javascript, Android, Python, PHP, Databases, Git, Docker, Kubernete
Expertise in Agile, DevSecOps, Software Development and Web Technologies, Internet Protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, REST, XML, SOAP, etc.), Mobile & Embedded Software Development, Backend-as-a-Service Platforms (Firebase, Amplify, etc.), Serverless, Microservice
Experience with Payment, FinTech would be highly valuable.
Able to communicate fluently in English is a MUST
